After several reprogramming attempts and software upgrades, wiring harness cleanings, ground wire checks, 2 new radios and one new touch screen, it wasn't actually either, It was called a Low voltage cable.The 4 buttons in that module send a signal on the same wire. They use resistors to vary the voltage and the computer then interprets them based on that. If one or more of the resistors is weak or has failed then the voltage being sent will change and therefore alter what the computer interprets it to mean. the standard amp has the 3 harness plugs you see above. 2.the Bose luxury system. the speakers and sub are the same ones as the standard system but it has a way better amp. feeds more power and sounds better than the standard system. that one comes in GMC denali,Cadillacs,and some top of the line silverados. that amp has 4 harness plugs.One solution offered up that was said to work was to unhook the negative cable from the battery and give it a couple of minutes and then hook it back up again.
