Aug 3, 2022 · We had the opportunity to dine at the Mazza restaurant during a stopover in Salt Lake City. The food and service was excellent. But what prompted me to write this review were the actions of the owner. On this day, this small neighborhood restaurant was packed. Our order was taken by a very friendly server.

Back then, the cafe served Middle Eastern fare on paper and Styrofoam with plastic utensils in the small space that was formerly home to Smoky’s Records and then to a bakery in the eclectic 15th & 15th neighborhood. The 15th & 15th location is really small, but it's the original Mazza and it's great (head to 9th & 9th if the line is too long). There are so many gluten free and veg options to choose from.. I love to get the appetizer sampler and have a little bit of everything. Seriously, Mazza is one of my most favorite SLC restaurants.
