Should I retake the SAT? (1540) long story short, took august sat (first attempt), 770 r/w 770 math. i've an unweighted gpa of a 3.9 (got Bs in AP BC Calc) and a weighted gpa of somewhere around a 4.7. i have four subject test scores, 2 of which are 800 (includes math 2), a 770 (bio), and a pathetic us history score i'm not sending to any college.

However, they are not required to send in their standardized test scores. If scores are not sent, the school simply bases their admission decision off the rest of the application.

While my current SAT score is pretty good (2050 - 610 M, 710 CR, 730 W), it still isn't competitive enough for the schools that I want to apply for, especially not the math score. Considering that there's a new SAT now, it would be like learning an entirely different test, and it will probably take a lot of studying.
