It’s also a beautifully told and tragic end (presumably) for our bodacious, pizza-loving, hero’s in a half shell. It’s dark and gritty which rings true to the original comics. The Last Ronin takes the Ninja Turtles back to their grim roots in 80s indie comics. Not for every TMNT fan, I was skeptical when it first released a few years ago, but it is an excellently crafted by the original creators Eastman and Laird telling how the Turtles and closest allies meet their fate.
